DESCRIPTION

Timothy Jackson (Section Leader) was awarded a scholarship to the Royal Academy of Music at the age of fifteen. He was a member of the Orchestra of the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden, for five years and now performs as guest principal horn with orchestras throughout the UK and Europe. Timothy is Composer-in-Association with Onyx Brass, and has received commissions from groups as diverse as the Academy of Saint Martin in the Fields, British Telecom, and the Hall? Orchestra. Chris Morley is the RLPO's Bumper (5th) Horn and has been a member of the orchestra since 1992. The players discuss the RLPO, its unique concert hall, their relationship with Vasily Petrenko, the instrument itself and "bumping".
