Eleanor is one of the top solo harpists in the UK. She has played as guest principal harpist with most of Britain’s orchestras including all the BBC orchestras, the Halle, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and the Royal Phiharmonic as well as being Principal Harpist for the Malaga Symphony Orchestra and the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra. She has appeared in the band for Stars in their Eyes, with Elvis Costello, The Moody Blues, Tony Bennett, Alphie Boe, Bill Bailey, Shirley Bassey and Robbie Williams. She gives frequent recitals all over the North West both with her trio (flute, viola and harp) and as a soloist. Here, Eleanor talks to HiBROW about the harp and about her role in the orchestra for its performance of Gustave Mahler's Symphonies 4 and 5.
